Per the folks at Friends of Black Rock in May 2013, while it's privately owned, the rule for access to this spring is "If the gate is open, come on in!". The owners of the property close the gate when they are using the area for their own personal use. Very pretty, water was crystal clear bath temperature (we were the first ones there in the morning) but gets murky fast due to the fine silt on the bottom of the pond. Easy to find from Jungo road... it's the only gate, and if you are worried about finding it... look for the cottonwood trees. This is the only place on the playa edge that they grow.
