The Hot Spring:

Bowery Hot Spring is an old hot tub with a wooden deck and changing area adjacent to the East Fork Salmon River.  The deck was volunteer built for the Bowery Guard Station nearby that is still staffed in the summer.  The ~120 degree F light green colored water is piped from the source in a black pvc pipe.  The temperature of the hot tub is controlled by removing the hose and adding buckets of cold water from the river.  Seasonally sand and gravel pool is built along the river that uses the runoff from the source.  When we soaked the hot tub had recently been cleaned by the very kind staff person at the guard station who said she soaked every day.  The only negative about this spring is the strong sulfur smell that stays on the skin for a long time.
