The Hot Spring:
Campground Hot Springs is directly off of a highway and across the street from a National Forest Campground. The pool is about 5 wide by 7 feet long and only 5 inches deep. It is made from the old foundation of a bath house with one side of the pool dammed with a rock wall, and the bottom of the pool is sand and gravel. 101 to 102 degree F water flows into the pool from the spring directly next to the pool keeping the water temperature at about 100 degrees F. During the late summer when the river water level is low a sand and gravel pool might be dug out also. Despite the proximity to the campground these springs are not that popular and that is probably because the soak is not very good. The mediocre pool and the water that is barely above your body temperature do not make for a wonderful soak.
