These springs are closed for refreshing. the signs says closed. A fence is erected completely around the area with closed sign Posted.  don't waste your time looking for it like we did. This is a very nasty winding road that lead to nowhere. Don't waste your time until someone else post on this site that the area is open to the public again.

Its really useful info and yes its very sad that people are so irresponsible and trash the place, the one thing always question that who can carry their damn stuff to all the way to the spot and they cannot carry back the empty cans and water bottles and other trashes of their own. I came to Ojai 1st time to go to hot spring and found out this one is closed for now and got really disappointed, but surely come back later

Thanks for positing this

I went up there yesterday,

I went up there yesterday, and there is no way that you can access the hot springs.

The hot springs are closed now and if you go down there you can get a $400 fine from the police. Rude people were trashing the place, and starting camp fires which is really dangerous. If a fire spreads in that valley the fire department wont go up there because there is only one way in and one way out. So the 150+ Residents that live up there would lose their homes of not worse their lives.

It sure would be nice if everyone could just be more responsible and respectful, but perhaps that is to much to ask for these days.

Apparently they are going to rebuild the trails and put up some signs with rules and important information. I think that they should put in recycle cans, donations box (for parking) and a composting toilet outhouse. This way it could be more educational, safer and sustainable.

We ended up going to the reservoir lake for a dip and stayed the entire afternoon because we met some cool funny people. There were at least 15 to 20 people there and everyone was very respectful and even cleaning up trash, which is great. But on our way out the police stopped us and asked for ID, none of us had ID so he just took our names. He said that the water district had asked them to go up there and fine people $400 for trespassing and to arrest anyone starting any campfires. Luckily everyone was on their best behavior and the cops were cool about it.
