The Hot Spring:

Cronks Hot Spring is a little rock pool made from the rip rap off the side of a major highway and next to the Salmon River.  The pool is hard to find and hard to park at because there is not much space between the highway and the river.  The spring only flows during the mid summer and before the fall rains, otherwise it is non existent or too cold.  During the right season about 115 degree F water slowly flows into the small 2-3 person sand bottomed pool, keeping the temperature around 100-101 degrees F.  This is a rarely visited spring but because the pool is built of construction materials and how close the sping is to a major highway with semi's driving by regularly. Cronks feels polluted, which makes a good soak difficult.
