Pool Temps: Extremely Hot (106° - 110° F), Very Hot (104° - 106° F), Hot (102° - 104° F), Slightly Hot (100° - 102° F)

Generally there are incredibly few people who don't care of their other activates and go to enjoy their life. A large BLM team visited Spencer in March (2015). I had my clothes on, gave them a partial tour. They found the area in excellent condition, with hot water sources mostly behind bars (prior BLM work). They said there were no problems reported, no plans on shutting it down- as has been the case elsewhere. Great News!

You might think that the folks inclined to jump into hot ponds without first checking the temperature would’ve been taken out of the thermal pool, not to mention the gene pool, by natural selection. But apparently the BLM doesn’t share my confidence in evolution. Spencer Hot Springs is about 20 miles east of Austin on U.S. 50 and NV 376. buy facebook likes
