Actually, while camping in the area nearby is OK, camping right by the tub is definitely frowned upon. It's one thing to camp less than a 5 minute walk away but camping right next to the tub at a place this popular is not all Some of the brush around there should not be camped on to allow the brush to recuperate, there are signs near where should not set up a tent.

We thought it was funny too! You are not technically allowed to camp at any of the hot springs in this area, however sometimes we bend the rules. If we arrive late, and pack out in the morning, sometimes we will risk camping when we could get in trouble. So, that is our tent, and that's August in the picture.
